Walking on Air // 8/13/14

On August 13th I went to a much anticipated, Katy Perry concert in Columbus! I have had the biggest crush on her for years so I was so excited to finally see her live.

We ended up getting to the venue 3 hours early so we had some time to kill.

We went across the street to a nice restaurant called Boston's Gourmet Pizza. My friend and I ordered this pizza to share, spinach, artichoke, sun-dried tomatoes, and parmesan cheese. It was delicious!

SHOWTIME, this was the opening performer, Kacey Musgraves. She was a country artist, which I'm not really into but she was very good and I actually really enjoyed some of her songs!

After she performed, it was time for Katy!! (I wish I could have gotten more pictures of more songs, but lets face it. I was waaay too excited to be constantly holding my phone and snapping pictures, sorry!)

This song was "Walking on Air", she floated into the air attached to that cute little cloud.

These were taken during "Birthday." This song was my favorite that she performed because it was so colorful and fun. She floated around the audience sitting on a seat tied with those balloons and she got really close to where we were sitting so that was very exciting! At the end cannons shot out confetti all over the audience.

This is a panorama of the audience during one of her slower songs, "By the Grace of God". Everyone had their phones out and were waving them in the air so I thought it would make a cool shot.

I wish I would have got more photos but I was just having way too much fun to have my phone out the whole time. There was so many more costumes and themes she had throughout the concert that were amazing and fun. This was honestly one of the best experiences I've had and I would totally do it over again. I can't wait for her to go on tour again because I will DEFINITELY be attending!

Etsy Finds: Bracelets

I was never really a big fan of bracelets, I'm not sure why. It always seemed difficult for me to find ones that I really liked. However, pretty recently I've started to find more that I'm really enjoying and would definitely purchase and wear. I wanted to share some of those with you!

What I've Been Up To // P!ATD Concert, New Phone, & Unplanned Hiatus?

On July 30th I got the opportunity to attend a Panic! at the Disco concert in Cleveland and I jumped at the chance! P!ATD has always been one of my all time favorite bands so the thought of seeing them live was so exciting! I was especially excited because their most recent album "Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die" is my favorite ones they have produced so far, (also Brendon Urie...YUM).

Unfortunately, at the time I was still carrying around my cracked iPhone 4, so taking pictures wasn't an option. However, this photo that I found on P!ATD's instagram is from that night! They really put on a wonderful show and I had a blast singing along and dancing to all of their songs. I will definitely be returning to one of their concerts in the future!

I finally got a new iPhone 5s, which was much needed considering the condition of my iPhone 4 that I have had for over 2 years. I'm super excited to have this so now if I see anything while I'm out and about I can snap a quick photo of it, instead of having to carry around my big Canon camera all the time, so look out for more "Follow Me Around" posts!

Most Importantly...
I want to apologize for the sudden hiatus I seemed to have taken from blogging. It wasn't planned and I didn't really want to take one either. For some reason, lately, my motivation for blogging has seemed nearly nonexistent. I kept logging on and trying to write and I even took some pictures but they all just didn't seem to turn out to my liking. I want to make the best content I can and it's frustrating and difficult when you have so many ideas but you can't seem to portray it onto a blog as you can in your head.

However, I am going to try to get into a better routine so I can start posting more regularly again. I miss making posts and hearing your guys feedback! I just wanted to let you all know that, I didn't forget and I haven't been ignoring this. I have lots of ideas and I'm definitely feeling more determined.

Thank you all for hanging in there and supporting me! I'm excited to start interacting with you all again.

Horror Manga Review: Uzumaki

Hi everyone! This is something that I've wanted to talk about for awhile, I really enjoy creepy/horror stories, comics, manga, movies, books, etc.  One of my favorite reads isn't a novel, but a manga titled Uzumaki. It's by the author Junji Ito which happens to also be the artist of the manga as well! He has some other manga that he has written/illustrated but I'm just going to focus on this one for the time being. Uzumaki is a series of 3 books, you can also buy the version that contains all 3 of them in one book, which is what I have.

Uzumaki takes place in a small town on the coast of Japan called Kurozu-cho. It is told in the view of a young girl named Kirie Goshima. The town is haunted by a demonic presence that manifests into the pattern of spirals everywhere! First slowly, like small patterns in nature like whirlpools or the shell of a snail,  but soon finds other ways that lead Kirie and her boyfriend Shuichi on a terrible journey as they try to discover why everyone in their town start's developing such crazy obsessions with the pattern.

When I first picked up this manga I was a bit hesitant when I read what it was about. Spirals? How can a pattern be so haunting and scary? However, I started reading this and I honestly finished it within 6 hours. It really caught my attention and kept me guessing and wanting more throughout the whole book. The art is amazing and beautifully done, it really does take you through such a visual, terrifying journey that I won't forget. Some of a pictures are quite graphic so if you aren't into that type of stuff then you probably wouldn't like this. However I really enjoy that part. It's not often you get to see such beautiful artwork and detail go into a scene that is so horrific. I think it makes it that much better. I honestly think people that don't even regularly read manga and just enjoy horror/gore would like this. It's really a one of a kind story. I can read it over and over again. I really really enjoyed this horror manga and I definitely plan on picking up more by this author.

I plan on doing more reviews on books I read and enjoy in the future because I really want to widen the interests on my blog to fit me as a person! I hope you all would take an interest in that! Have a wonderful day!

Graduation, 18th Birthday, Growing Up.

Hello everyone! Sorry I have been a bit MIA. I just haven't been feeling as motivated to write blog posts lately but expect them to be more regular now!
It's the middle of summer now and a few exciting, big things have happened in the month of June. This summer is moving by so fast and I feel like I need to catch you all up!

This past June I graduated from High School! I feel like I've been ready for it for so long but now that it's actually over with it seems insane! ECOT is a school that is completely online. I started doing online classes in 10th grade and ended up sticking with it for the remainder of my high school career. I really liked it, although it was quite annoying at times! It's just going to be quite weird when I start going to a college campus. It's so odd to think that next Autumn I'm not going back to high school and that this isn't really a summer break for me, it's my life now! It's very intimidating but also very exciting!

These Katy Perry concert tickets were part of my graduation present! I am a huge fan of her and I cannot wait to see her in August!

I also turned 18 on June 22! Time is flying by and being 18 is a very bittersweet, and big birthday! It's one of those birthdays that I think you actually feel, because you start to realize that there are little responsibilities and independence that comes with turning 18 that you didn't have with any other birthday.

Growing up is something that I've always been scared of. I know I'm still extremely young, however realizing that I am out of high school, 18 and going to college next year it's really all becoming real! And it's very exciting. I am looking forward to taking you all on my future journeys!

I will be posing a birthday haul soon, I'm just waiting for a few things to come in the mail!
