SoothingSista x Memebox Palette

I've heard of Memebox circling around Youtube but I never had the inclination to buy anything from their site. I figured they were strictly a subscription service and I'm just not interested in subscribing to a monthly box at the moment. However, as I was watching one of my favorite youtubers, SoothingSista, she mentioned that she had created her very own eye shadow palette that is available for purchase on the Memebox website!

I knew I had to check it out and upon arriving to the site I impulsively purchased the palette.

I LOVE when I get packages with handwritten notes. I feel like it adds just a little more personalization when someone takes the time to write something.

These colors are gorgeous and unlike any other eye shadows I have. I still haven't bought the Naked 3 palette that is filled with rose tinted shades, but I felt like this quad would be the perfect introduction to pink-based shadows.

The Sutro and Valencia are matte while Candy Rain and Bae Area are shimmer/glitter. The matte shadows don't have as much pigmentation as I'd like, unfortunately. I feel like if you are tan or have a darker complexion, they will not show up on you well. I feel like I am relatively pale and once applied you can hardly tell I have any on. It's EXTREMELY neutral.

The bottom two shadows are more pigmented, but I really recommend using a glitter primer for Bae Area as it's very glittery and tends to have quite a lot of fallout. I'd recommend using a product like Fix+ on your shadow brush when applying these and also using a primer so you can get the most out of the colors.

Other than those two things I really like this palette. It's perfect and compact to take on the go and it's great to create a simple everyday look with. The pricing isn't too bad in my opinion either. The palette is $17, I found a coupon code but I don't think it's available anymore, sorry!

This palette is definitely worth buying if you're interested in the shades and want to support a lovely youtuber!

One Year as a Blogger

Hello everyone! March 31st marks a pretty big accomplishment on Delicate Teeth. One year ago today I started this blog! I actually remember it perfectly, it wasn't planned whatsoever. I stumbled across a blog I really liked and I thought "Wow, I really wish I could do something like that..." and then it occured to me, that I totally can! I created a blogspot and wrote my very first post, my Introduction. Just a quick hello, who I am, and what I'm here for type of thing. I never really expected myself to keep up with it honestly, let alone create another blog a year later so now I'm writer for two!

Blogging has helped my creativity blossom into something that I'm proud of. I've learned so much about technology, beauty, fashion, and so many other things throughout this year thanks to starting Delicate Teeth.

I have gotten to work with so many amazing companies, hold some great giveaways, and discover so many beautiful people.

And of course, I want to thank all of my readers! You all are so kind to me and give me so much support. I really want to connect with you all more this coming year and hold more giveaways, collab, and befriend you!

Blogging has become such a great hobby for me and I feel so grateful to have found something that I truly enjoy putting my time into.

I hope you all look forward to another year of blogging as much as I do!

New Orleans | February 2015

A few weeks ago I got the chance to take a road trip with my closest friends to New Orleans! We all had never been and were so eager to experience a place unlike any other.

We decided to drive down and we unfortunately got stuck right in the middle of a terrible snow storm in Kentucky. It took us 16 hours to drive to Louisiana! But we finally made it!

We had our own balcony and had a beautiful view of the city. We didn't get to New Orleans until about 8pm so we didn't explore much the first night.

We had a very lovely meal at a beautiful restaurant known as Emeril's, yes it is one of Chef Emeril's locations, it was very beautiful and everyone was very kind!

New Orleans during the afternoon

We got there on the last day of Mardi Gras, otherwise known as "Fat Tuesday". We only went to one of the parades but it was such a cool experience! It was so surreal to think that you're actually experiencing the REAL Mardi Gras. Everyone was dressed up and beads, stuffed animals, umbrellas and other items were being thrown into the crowd.

How cool is this Alien float? It was probably my favorite!

We headed down to the French Quarter to explore and do some shopping. The whole area was so cute and artistic. There were so many cute and interesting shops as well.

A very popular brand I saw nearly everywhere I went was "Slap Ya Mama" which I found quite comical.

There were horse drawn carriages all over the streets. It made me pretty sad for the horses, honestly. It was a weird thing to see though, we don't have those roaming around the cities back in Ohio.

It was so cool to see people just singing and playing instruments on the sides of the street. There was also performers, like the Statue Man, who I didn't get a photo of unfortunately.

This absolutely beautiful church I found looked like a castle and was sitting in the prettiest square/park. If I lived here I would come here every day to sit under the trees and relax, it was gorgeous here.

We stumbled upon this woman named Aamara who gave palm readings. I got my palms read for the first time and it was such a cool and unique experience! I don't know if I 100% believed everything, but I think it was worth it just for the experience. I've always been afraid to get one of these but she had nothing but positive things to say, which true or false, is still a great motivator.

We stopped at this gorgeous little restaurant and had absolutely amazing food! I tried crawfish and feta crepes and it was SO delicious. Definitely my favorite meal I had down there.

My dessert was creme brulee and it was also the first time I had that as well and it was super yummy!

We were only down there for about 2 1/2 days but it was so gorgeous and I wish we could have stayed longer! It was such an amazing experience and I definitely want to visit again! New Orleans is filled with so much culture and the kindest people, I miss it already!
