2014

This year has been one of the best I have had in awhile. There were far more ups than there were downs and I can honestly say I was genuinely happy and excited for the majority of the year. I have bettered myself and my life and I'm positive 2015 will just let me continue that journey! Here are some of the big (and small) things I have taken place in 2014.

I discovered how beautiful it can be where I live.

I started blogging this year which is something I had been wanting to do for awhile!

I graduated high school!

On the same day that I got my braces off I went to my first concert, ever, Panic! at the Disco! It was an absolutely amazing day.

I went to my another concert which was Katy Perry! I have loved her for so long, so seeing her was such an amazing and surreal experience. I have a major crush on her!

I visited so many awesome places, especially cemeteries!

I got to go to Comic Con & see Norman Reedus for the third year in a row!

These were just a few things that made my year an amazing and wonderful experience. What are some of the highlights of your year?

(ps) HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE, STAY SAFE AND HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME.

Christmas Wishlist

I'm obviously not expecting to get most of the things on this list, but I like making wishlists, it motivates me to save my money for something I really want! I have a giant list of books, movies, games, makeup, and other random things that I want to purchase!

One of the things I want most on this list is actually a PS3 and The Last of Us! TLOU is one of my favorite games of all time and I'd love to be able to have my own copy to play whenever I want! I've actually been selling my Xbox 360 and all of the games to be able to buy some games for PS3!

What are some things on your Christmas wishlist?

CaseApp Personalized Phone Case

A lovely company called CaseApp was kind enough to email me and let me design a case! CaseApp lets you customize a phone, tablet, or laptop case to be 100% your own! You can add any pictures/text and there are endless possibilities. I had a lot of different idea's sparking in my mind about what I would put onto a case, and then I suddenly remembered how much I had wanted an Uzumaki themed case I had seen about a year ago, but was unfortunately sold out and I couldn't find anything like it anywhere!

If you didn't know, Uzumaki is a Japanese horror manga, one of my all time favorite reads! You can read a little review I did about it here.

Anyway, after choosing the picture I wanted, I found it's rather simple to navigate the site! Just pick the type of phone, tablet, or laptop you have and then choose how you want to design the case! You position it to fit the case the way you like and then you can save it and go ahead and order!

(Don't worry, you don't have to get something as creepy as I did!)

When I received it in the mail it was exactly how I imagined it! I absolutely love it. The shipping was pretty quick, took a little less than a week to get to my house! It feels very well made and I don't think that the picture will wear off as easily as my previous phone case.

This is honestly the perfect Christmas gift, or just a gift for anytime! You can put personal pictures on it for loved ones/friends and I think it would be a wonderful idea. (I'm actually planning on ordering another with a photo of my cat, crazy kitty lady here!)

The packaging was very simple but I really loved it. How cute is this little message on the box? It's the little things that count!

Go to CaseApp.com and use the code delicate20 to get 20% off on your own personalized case!

I hope you all are having a lovely Wednesday!

They have a little bit of everything, so I decided to share with you some of my favorite products!

Ohio Comic Con 2014 Haul

At the beginning of November I went to Ohio Comic Con (you can see my post about it here). I quickly realized that I still hadn't shown you want I picked up while I was there! One of my favorite things about Comic Con, other than seeing all of the celebrities, is shopping! They have so many fun and crazy things and I always come home with some interesting things.

This may seem pretty weird, but if you know anything about me, you'll know I love skulls and bones. I find them so interesting and beautiful. Fortunately, I found a whole booth this year dedicated to things like this! I was so excited, I think I visited three times in the same day and spent way too much time looking at what they had to offer. I finally decided on this beauty, which is a raccoon skull. It wasn't too pricey and it was beautifully preserved. I also loved that it is mounted on a stand, but you can also remove it if you choose!

If you're interested in this type of thing, these are the people I purchased it from!

This creepy gem I found caught my eye right away. I know this is super weird and creepy, which is why I completely fell in love with it! The man that makes these has tons of different ones, but the snail version was my favorite!

I finally got a Puppycat! I am such a huge fan of the Bee and PuppyCat and I was so incredibly excited when I saw they had some in stock. I had been wanting one for so long. It also sings when you press it's ear! So cute.

These have to be some of the cutest stickers I have ever seen. I get really nervous with stickers and I usually never use them. Mostly because I'm afraid once I stick them somewhere I'll regret it and want to put it on something else later, silly I know. But after talking to the lady who makes these she told me they are reusable and waterproof. I honestly couldn't resist and I'm so happy I picked some up!

The vendor was also the sweetest girl I met during Comic Con, she was so friendly and you could tell she really loved what she did and was proud of her work. She draws all of these stickers and makes them all by hand! No machines here. She even threw in a free sticker (they yellow yak).

Here is her Etsy, you should definitely check it out!

The most meaningful thing I got at Comic Con was definitely this signed picture of Norman Reedus! It don't really care about autographs, it was more that I got to see him again! I have three autographs from him now, since I've seen him three years in a row, but I think this one is definitely my favorite.

I always end up saying I'm not going to buy anymore artwork every year but I always cave and pick up prints. I can't help it! They have so many amazing ones. Above I picked up a Totoro and Attack on Titan print.

I don't usually see much of Coraline, but I knew the moment I saw it I had to have this print. Coraline is one of my favorite movies and I just loved this way too much to pass up!

I unfortunately didn't get the shop or the card from the guy that made this but if I ever find out I'll let you guys know!

Pyramid Head! Silent Hill is one of my favorite games of all time so when I saw this print of Pyramid Head I knew I had to buy it. I saw a lot more Silent Hill themed things this year that other years I visited which made me quite happy.

I picked up a bunch of comics! I really enjoy collecting cute and horror comics and graphic novels. I would go through them all but that would take a long time, maybe I'll do a separate posts all about the comics I own. I mostly picked up Adventure Time, Lumber Janes, and Outcast.

Peach Ramue! This was so delicious and I definitely need to get more.

I picked up two boxes of Green Tea and Brown Sugar "mochi". I've always wanted to try these little boxes because they always intrigued me. They were actually, extremely disgusting! Oops!

I got a lot of random silly things this year but I'm so happy with all of my purchases! Comic Con was a blast, as always and I'm hoping I can do another haul next year!

Hair Food Moisture Hair Mask

I don't try many hair products. But one thing I have always loved is conditioner. I love deep, leave in or just a regular, run of the mill conditioner. I think it's partly because my hair is pretty dry towards the ends and I used to bleach my hair a lot which got me into the routine of trying to drench my hair with as much moisture as possible.

When I received my Influenster Box (talked about in a post here) I had no idea what it contained. Upon opening I realized that there was a full size of the hair Food Moisture Hair Mask, which is a product I had never heard of before and it quickly became the thing I was most excited to try out.

The one I received was for moisture but they also have a line for volume and radiance. They don't just have deep conditioners, they also have shampoos and regular conditioners within the same line!

Using the Hair Food Mask is pretty self explanatory. How I use it is I wash my hair like I normally would. Then afterwards, I towel dry my hair until it's just damp. I then take about a quarter size of product in my hand and start combing it through the ends of my hair. I usually try to avoid my roots because they get oily quite easily. I then will leave it in my hair for about 5-10 minutes and then wash it out! Really simple but it really does help. I don't use much heat on my hair but after using this and then using a styling tool I noticed how soft my hair was when usually my hair felt sort of dry.

This isn't a miracle product and if you've completely fried your hair I doubt it'd help much. But if you suffer from dry/normal hair and need a little bit more softness and healthiness I definitely recommend it! It works well and it smells wonderful, (just like apricots and honey!)

Influenster Moda VoxBox

I was lucky enough to qualify to receive this months Moda VoxBox from Influenster! I was so excited to hear this since this is my first time receiving one I really didn't know what to expect. I honestly didn't know much about Influenster as a whole before receiving this box! But now I am definitely a lot more informed on their site and the company themselves so let me give you a little information about them.

Influenster is a website for reviewing products, whether it be beauty, lifestyle, food, electronics, basically anything! It has badges that you can unlock by earning points and you gain points by reviewing, answering questions and sharing with your friends. These badges determine what you're interests and passions are in. For example, my two highest badges are beauty and games, since I love makeup and video games!

You also have something called your impact score, which is bascially your social impact on all of your social networks. You can raise your score by connecting your Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, blog and email.

The box I received was filled with full sized products and was completely free, the awesome thing is ALL of these boxes are completely free and anyone can receive them! All you have to do is raise your impact score and unlock badges on the website and that will determine if you are eligible for a VoxBox yourself! It will be a bit more difficult to qualify for a box if your impact score is low, which is sort of unfortunate, but it certainly isn't impossible!

So now that I've gave you a quick overview of the site, lets get into the products I received.

This Hair Food Moisture Mask was something I was extremely excited about! My hair tends to be really dry towards the ends so I'm always looking for new leave in or deep conditioners. Also, this one smells like honey and apricot so I how could I not love it?

This was the first time I had ever heard about this line and after using it, I'm actually a really big fan! They don't just sell hair masks, they also sell shampoos and conditioners. There are three different collections, moisture, lift, and radiance, so you can choose which line would be best for your hair type! Coincidentally, moisture is the one I needed!

I am not a person in need of more lotion - seriously! I have no idea how I have collected so much lotion over time but I actually have a gigantic box. This Jergens Ultra Healing lotion is actually my new favorite though! I have been using it for little over a week on my arms, that's where I have the most dry skin, and it has helped tremendously! I was actually really surprised at how fast it got rid of most of my dry skin.

This Moisture Renew Lipstick didn't excite me too much at first. I wasn't a huge fan of the color and with my experience with shimmery drug store lipsticks are nothing to rave about. However I was pleasantly surprised with this one.

The pigmentation is really beautiful and it's extremely moisturizing when applied. I'm still not a huge fan of the shade, but I really think I'd pick up more of these lipsticks in other shades!

I unfortunately haven't tested this out yet, but I was really excited to receive it! I have been in need of a new mascara. I can let you guys know in the future how I liked it.

I actually wasn't a huge fan of this lip liner. When I use lip liner's I like them to be a bit on the dry side so they stay longer and helps to keep my lipsticks on. This is a "moisture renew" lip liner though, and it definitely is very moisturizing.

Hot chocolate!? Yes! I'm always up to make some delicious hot chocolate, what a way to get you into the winter spirit as well.

They also sent me a bottle of Resource Spring Water and a pack of Puffs.

If you weren't able to tell already, this box's theme was hydration and moisture related and I believe the spotlighted brand was Rimmel. A very awesome first box to receive from Influenster!

I definitely recommend joining this site! It's completely free and definitely worth it! Click here to sign up!

In the Kitchen with Modcloth

I was scrolling through Modcloth recently because I wanted to compile a post of some of my favorite "around the house" items they had on the site. When I quickly realized that there are SO many kitchen items that I love and that they were completely overloading the list. So I thought it'd be a better idea to put these into a post of their own. Modcloth makes cooking 10x more fun!

How many cute Salt and Pepper shakers can one website have?! These aren't even all of the things I loved, just some of my favorites. Hop on over to their site to check out more! Modcloth.com

Halloween Tag

Today is finally Halloween! I thought it'd be fun to do a little Halloween tag to commemorate my favorite holiday.

1. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HALLOWEEN MOVIE?

Definitely Halloweentown! It brings back so many good memories and it just gives you that cozy fall feeling!

2. IF YOU WERE IN A HORROR MOVIE HOW FAR WOULD YOU GET?

I really have no idea. I guess it would depend on what kind of horror movie it was.

3. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY OF HALLOWEEN?

Just going trick or treating and coming home to look through al lof the candy I got! It was so mmuch fun to go trick or treating around my neighborhood and sometimes I wish I could still go!

4. YOUR BEST/WORST HALLOWEEN COSTUME?

My best costume was probably when I was in about 3rd grade, I was a vampire and I went all out! My worst is when I was in 1st or 2nd grade and I dressed as a clown, what was I thinking?!

5. HOW DO YOU GET INTO THE HALLOWEEN SPIRIT?

Watching scary movies! Also, just decorating or spending time outside while the leaves are changing.

6. FAVORITE HALLOWEEN DECORATION?

Pumpkins! I get so excited once people start putting pumpkins outside of their houses during fall. It always means Halloween is coming!

7. NAME ONE UNUSUAL THING THAT YOU'RE AFRAID OF?

Deep water. I guess that isn't really unusual but I am completely terrified when I can't touch the ground in a body of water. I can swim perfectly fine, but I just hate the feeling that there could be something underneath me and I'd have no idea. I'm especially scared of the ocean, do you know how many undiscovered things are in there?! Terrifying.

8. VAMPIRES OR ZOMBIES?

I'd rather be a vampire, but if we are talking about which is more scary I would have to say zombie.

9. WEREWOLVES OR GHOSTS?

Ghosts!

10. CREEPY DOLLS OR CREEPY CLOWNS?

Creepy dolls! I actually kind of have an obsession with creepy dolls, clowns...I'm not such a fan of.

11. DO YOU BELIEVE IN GHOSTS?

I don't know if I believe in the stereotypical "ghost bu yes, I do believe in spirits in a sense!

I tag, everyone to do this as well! Happy Halloween everyone! Have fun and be safe!
